Does my pool need to be drained each year?
Yes and no. Your swimming pool does need to be drained every year but it does not need to be completely drained. We recommend draining the swimming pool 6" - 8" below the discharge ports around the swimming pool. After the water is drained, add chlorine to the remaining water in the pool and agitate the water with a skimmer or large pool brush, cover the pump with a waterproof cover, place the cover on your pool and place water bladders around your pool cover to keep it in place. Do not place any water on the top of the cover as falling precipitation will do that for you.
