Can I take care of pool cleaning and repairs myself or will I need to hire a contractor?
Swimming pool cleaning is a relatively easy chore. Routine cleaning includes removing debris from the skimmers, scraping the sides of the swimming pool down, and vacuuming the bottom of the swimming pool. Other maintenance includes emptying the filters and the traps, adding chlorine, and keeping the equipment clean. These are all responsibilities any homeowner can undertake or they can pay a swimming pool cleaning company to do for them. Much like you would pay a landscaper, a pool cleaning company will come every week, two weeks, or month to perform routine maintenance on your pool.
As far as repairs go, depending on the severity of the repair, you may want to hire a professional pool contractors. Some common repairs the homeowner can engage in are replacing broken tiles, fixing unsettles pavers, and other smaller tasks. For the confident homeowner, any job can be done, but it is better to call a pool contractor if it is in your budget so you can ensure a lasting repair.
