Depending on what the results of your chemical tests are, you may need to add chemicals to your swimming pool to keep the overall chemical load of the swimming pool balanced. This balance we are referring to is the medium between water clarity and swimmer safety.
The two levels of your swimming pool that will fluctuate the most are your chlorine levels and your pH levels. These two markers will fluctuate due to with weather conditions, pool use, pool occupancy, and more. When adjusting these levels, you need to adjust your pH levels before you adjust your chlorine levels. This is because of a chemical reaction between pH levels and chlorine where chlorine becomes overactive at pH levels below 7.0 and under active at pH levels above 8.5.
When your pH levels and chlorine levels are balanced in your swimming pool, your pool will be clear and healthy for your friends and family.
