The general phases of swimming pool construction are as follows: obtaining permits, planning, forming, excavation, steel framing, pre-plumbing, gunite application, forms stripping and cleanup, tile & coping installation, decks and related extras (pool houses, cabanas, etc.), waterfalls and related extras (fountains, fiber optic sprayers, etc.), pool equipment installation, electrical, gas, plaster preparation and plaster cleanup, plastering finishing, swimming pool startup. For typical inground swimming pools, this process is completed in about four weeks from start to finish.
